Everything in its place

I love being organized, but lately I have been far from it!  
Although we moved into our home a little over a year ago, we still aren’t as organized as I hoped we would be! Maybe it was the months of wedding preparation on the dining room table or the renovating that kept us from moving on and storing items as though they really belonged where we placed them.  Since the day we packed up our apartment, nothing has truly been “in its place” in our new home.  Now renovating is at full force and our house is becoming more livable every day.  This means it is time to get reorganized.  Everything in its place where hopefully it will stay.

Lindsey’s Living Room

My very good friend Lindsey just bought her first house.. Congratulations Linz!! 

Like any first time homebuyer, she is beginning to realize that there are a lot of decisions to be made.  And what is a more important decision then how to decorate your new home!?  


Lindsey has been hard at work painting the interior of her house.  Currently, she is working on painting her living room, but stopped after painting one of her walls a “russet” orange. She came to me stumped.. not knowing what color to paint the rest of her living room.  She told me that she wanted a tan color, but just couldn’t pick “the one”.


I asked Linz to send me pictures of the items that she has already bought for the room.  She recently purchased a couch and, most importantly, a painting that she wants to hang in the living room (which we will use to base the rest of the room off of)
